How are you arriving?

By Avinash Jalani · 28 June 2026

Almost halfway through the year… and with EOFY around the corner, many of us are busy ticking things off. Maybe it is just muscle memory…

Finishing projects. Meeting deadlines. Getting paperwork ready for tax time.

Work is such a big part of our lives that we inherently spend a lot of time reviewing how work is going. However, when was the last time we stopped and asked ourselves…

“How am I really going?” … right now.

Not what I had achieved. Just… how I had been.

  • More patient?
  • More uncertain?
  • More stressed?
  • More grateful?

Life does not ask permission, and finds a funny way of keeping us moving. One to-do list rolls into the next. One week becomes the next month. Before we know it… half the year has gone. So now, in this moment, I am going to do something simple.

Pause for five minutes… now.

No phone. No mental checklist. (it took me longer than 5 min 😅)

Just a quiet moment to look back… and think about what I want the next six months to feel like — not just what I want to achieve, but how I want to arrive in each moment.

How are you arriving?
